Last week Andrew Thompson and Myles Gowen attended the The 61508 Association AGM in Peterborough.

The event brought together Functional Safety leaders from across the UK to discuss ongoing challenges and developments around:

  • Competency and competence management
  • Safety culture
  • CASS FSM self-declaration
  • Gas turbine safety
  • AI and Cyber Security considerations

There was strong collaboration throughout the day — and great discussions continued at the hotel.

As members of the 61508 Association, it’s always valuable to contribute to the wider Functional Safety community and stay aligned with the latest thinking around IEC 61508 and related standards.
